Hope For Moses Fund: A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Charity Organization
The Story...
Moses is a little boy who was abandoned in Kafanchan, Nigeria. He is in need of medical care. Unfortunately, doctors in Nigeria do not have the means or ability to provide a complete medical assessment, yet it is likely that Moses has Cerebral Palsy.
Moses has lived most of his life in a Motherless Babies Home. Until recently, he spent all day and night in a dirty steel crib. Meals were scarce, the hot climate could make it unbearable and he had limited contact with people due to fear and lack of information about his condition.

HOPE HAS COME FOR MOSES! Moses, Na'omi and Sarah Musa arrived in America on October 11th, 2009. Their arrival was followed by medical evaluations, x-rays, lab work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dentist appointments, nutrition evaluations, immunizations, orthotics, chiropractic care, naturopath appointments, healing touch, massage, and other consultations as recommended by Moses' medical team.
Over the busy one year Na'omi and Sarah were with us, Moses' progress was amazing. He arrived in America weighing about 27 pounds, and in 2011 now weighs over 50 pounds! Na'omi and Sarah provided the love, care and cultural needs Moses required to help him thrive during the initial evaluations and treatment. They returned to Nigeria on October 3, 2010, and are greatly missed.
Moses remains in America to continue to receive necessary medical care. He has now completed third grade in a multiple needs classroom (with some mainstream classes), and is speaking full sentences, learning to write his name, knows the alphabet, colors, has made many friends, and is using a stander. He even learned to ride a bike! With the generous support and gifts of family and friends, as well as a $500.00 grant from the CP Society of Minnesota, $2450.00 was raised for Moses to have his own adaptive bike to use at home in July 2011!
This past summer Moses participated in the Inaugural season of the East Metro Miracle Baseball League in Woodbury, MN, and will join again this year! He is also taking adaptive swimming lessons through School District 622. Moses continues to touch the lives of all who meet him with his amazing smile and positive spirit. Come out and cheer Moses on!
